Events/Courses

Programme usually includes guidance and advice on various aspects of carving. We also attend, and display our work, at several craft fairs and events during the year including the BDWCA Festival of Bird Art and the Stickmakers Guild Festival of Country Crafts.

Each year there is a carver’s challenge, and our December Christmas social meeting includes a light-hearted competition where Bird Carvings, Stickmaking, Christmas Decorations and the Annual Carvers Challenge are judged by those attending the event.  

General Notes

There is an annual subscription of £35, no additional payments unless we have a guest speaker or demonstration.

Carving Specific Notes

Most of the group activity focusses on bird carving interspersed with other forms of wildlife carving to add variety to the programme
