I've just discovered iSpot
It's run through the Open University and the aim is to get more people interested in wildlife and to provide a friendly forum for talking about recent sightings etc.
One of its most useful functions is to provide expert ID - if you see a bird, animal, plant, insect, fungus or whatever, take a photo and send it in for an alarmingly quick and accurate ID!

I'm interested in all forms of nature and having a camera built into my mobile phone it's so easy to take a snap or two of any new or interesting subject and post it on the http://www.ispot.org.uk website.  I was impressed with the speedy results.  Why not try it out for your self?
